90-Minute Prayer Retreat – Join Pastors Tey and David on Saturday, September 12 from 9:00 – 10:30 am, for a 90-Minute Prayer Retreat at Mallard Lake Forest Preserve in Hanover Park.

Men’s breakfast – Join other men from Calvary at 8:30 am on Saturday, September 12 at the Golden Corral, 154 Gary Ave, Bloomingdale.

Calvary Women – Join us on Saturday, September 19 at 9:00 am for a potluck where you will hear from Janet Stachula, RN, and Donna Rogers, Occupational Therapist, on the topic of avoiding falls and injuries. This event is free, but we encourage you to sign up to bring a breakfast item at the Welcome Center! 

Children’s Ministry – All Calvary families with children in 6th grade and younger are invited to a family swim party on September 20 at Park Place Rec Center from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. We will swim from 1:00 – 3:00 and then have snacks in a party room. There is a sign-up link on the Calvary website. Look under Events.

Do you want to know more about Calvary? If you are interested in church membership, baptism, or just learning more about Calvary, you should sign up to attend the Discover Calvary class let by Pastor Tey on Sunday, September 27, at noon in room 223. A lite lunch will be served. Please sign up at the ministry counter by September 20.

Dancing Thru The Decades – Join us for a fun night of dancing in the gymnasium on Saturday, October 10, from 6:00 – 9:00 pm. This event is for those 18 years and older and the cost is $10 per person. Tickets go on sale beginning September 6. Cash only. Learn more at the church website under Events.

Women's Bible Study: Beginning on Wednesday, September 9, the group will meet every other Wednesday night from 6:30 - 8:15 pm.  We will be studying 1 Corinithians using a LifeChange study guide.

Women's Bible Study: Beginning on Thursday, September 10th, the group will meet from 9:30 - 11:00 am every Thursday. We will be studying 1 & 2 Peter: Living Hope in a Hard World by Lydia Brownback. If you are interested, please contact Barb Quinn at Barb Quinn for more information.

Women's Book Study: This group will begin meeting again on Monday, September 14 at 7 pm in room 226. Young and old are invited to this weekly book study. While many people know about God, not many people truly know Him. In the modern classic Knowing God, J.I. Packer challenges Christians to the most important pursuit of their lives- to know and be known by God. Any questions email Toni George

Calvary Women - Women's Ministry invites you to see Flame of Fire, a play based on missionaries Naint Saint and Jim Elliot, at 2:00pm on Saturday, Oct. 3rd. You must sign up at the Welcome Center and pay by August 9th to sit with our group. A Women's Ministry representative will be in the foyer to collect the ticket price of $29 on August 2nd and 9th. Cash is preferred, but checks made out to "Elaine Darnall" will be accepted.

Men’s Retreat - Silver Birch Ranch in White Lake, WI is having their annual Men's Retreat September 25 – 27, 2026. The weekend includes activities and teaching geared to meet men where they are. Calvary Fellowship Team - If you enjoy the planning and execution of church fellowship events , please consider being part of the Calvary fellowship team. We are looking for new volunteers. Please contact Lisa Phalen if you are interested.

Youth Leaders Wanted - Are you looking for a ministry to serve in here at Calvary? Consider serving with Refinery. We are looking for leaders to connect with and support our students by assisting with game time, small groups, and events. Contact Joshua Steuer for more information.

Refinery - Refinery will be meeting on Sundays 6:30-8:30PM. We are excited to be starting a new video series called Grace Culture. Please have Students enter through Door 4.

The Coffee Cafe needs help, particularly from 10:00 to 10:30 and/or for about 15 minutes after the service to assist with cleanup. If interested, please talk with Earl Casas at the Welcome Center or Andi Ammentorp at the Coffee Cafe. 

Communion Servers Needed – Anyone interested in being a communion server, please contact John Keane.

MERT Team is looking for licensed doctors, nurses or paramedics to join our Medical Emergency Response Team. Anyone interested please contact Angela Baisler with questions and for details. 

Prayer Meetings - Every Sunday morning at 8am and Wednesday night at 7pm we have prayer meetings via Zoom. See the website for the Zoom login information under the "About" section and the heading "Prayer." We'd love to see you there!

Mom's Small Group - If you are a mama of a munchkin and are interested in joining a small group dedicated to supporting moms, please pick up a flyer outside of the nursery and preschool area or email mamasandmunchkinsccc@gmail.com.

Meals for the Master - We are in need of volunteers to bless people in need of meals during sicknesses and other trials of life. If you are interested in serving, please email Ruth Rumbles. 

Baptism - If you have trusted in Jesus Christ as your Savior and have never been baptized by immersion in obedience to him as Lord, now is the time! Please contact one of the Elders for more information.
